We want to reflect on a year defined by remarkable achievements, solidifying our position as Costa Rica’s fastest-growing business ecosystem. 2024 began with notable achievements in infrastructure and tenant development, participation in prestigious local and international forums, the successful execution of impactful social and environmental initiatives, and the receipt of distinguished awards.
Accudyn joined Evolution Free Zone to manufacture critical components for the medical device sector, and Trelleborg Healthcare & Medical established its first Latin American operation in our Park—a +10,000 m² advanced manufacturing facility.
Adding to this momentum, the construction of Inari Medical’s cutting-edge +7,000 m² building progressed significantly, marking the completion of its roofing system and setting the stage for expanded production capacity. Similarly, Accudyn Products Inc. advanced in the construction of its main framework, while Intricon Corporation completed its primary structure and roofing, with facade and underground piping work ongoing.
Our own transformative progress has been equally remarkable. In fact, in 2024 our official inauguration brought together government officials, esteemed partners, and global companies. This event celebrated the establishment of a next-generation business ecosystem designed to redefine excellence in Costa Rica’s Western Region.
We also made strides in connectivity with the historic donation of the primary road for an overpass linking Route 1 to our premises. This 1,561-meter project, featuring dual lanes and a 700-meter retaining wall, enhances mobility for the park as well as the surrounding community.
Additionally, our data center continues to set new benchmarks, offering companies unmatched security, reliability, and efficiency in a digital-first landscape.
Art and culture were not overlooked, as we unveiled a 12-meter stainless steel sculpture—an emblem of innovation and creativity that reflects the seamless integration of technology and culture within our High-Tech Business Park.
These developments underscore our commitment to delivering world-class infrastructure that empowers industry leaders to achieve sustainable growth and innovation at our High-Tech Business Park. With 2025 on the horizon, we look forward to an even more exciting year of groundbreaking advancements and construction milestones.
Sustainability remains at the core of our mission, shaping our Environmental, Social, and Governance strategy. This year we expanded our social initiatives, educating 375 elementary students across seven schools in Grecia through workshops on biodiversity and waste management, fostering environmental awareness in our community. To further this commitment, we planted 170 native trees, increasing our total to 520. These efforts bolstered the “El Achiote” Interurban Biological Corridor, enriching biodiversity within the park.
In collaboration with FUNDEMA-PP and Primates de Grecia, we contributed monitoring cameras to safeguard local biodiversity. Moreover, during times of crisis, we provided essential relief supplies to families in Grecia affected by floods and landslides, reaffirming our role as a responsible and supportive community partner.
Our construction practices adhered to stringent sustainability principles, managing over 109,358 cubic meters of reusable earth material and recycling valuable resources such as plastic, wood, and metal. These initiatives, documented in our annual sustainability report, demonstrate our dedication to economic progress while preserving Costa Rica’s natural and social fabric.
On top of that, we actively participated in key global industry events. At MD&M West, in California, we joined the world’s largest MedTech community to present our unparalleled value proposition: a prime location in Costa Rica, with world-class infrastructure and exceptional human talent-pool. Then we traveled to Germany, to participate in MEDICA 2024, the world’s leading medical B2B trade fair, we engaged with market leaders, emphasizing our role as a premier destination for global companies.
Locally, at the MPO Medtech Forum, we collaborated with experts to explore opportunities for fostering innovation in the sector. Our participation at SEMICON West in San Francisco and the Semiconductor Forum, organized by Costa Rica’s newspaper El Financiero, highlighted the country’s unique competitive advantages in the semiconductor industry, a vital and rapidly evolving sector.
Finally, our achievements this year have been recognized through several prestigious accolades:
As we look toward 2025, Evolution Free Zone remains steadfast in its mission to redefine excellence and innovation. With every milestone, we continue to shape a future of resilience, opportunity, and global impact—driven by the vision and dedication that have defined us.
